How ZOO doin'?

ANYWAY, I had the pleasure of escorting my 6 year old brother, Aydan, to the Zoo yesterday. I know you're all thinking, what's so great about the Zoo? Well... Uh... I happen to really like the Zoo. Though I'd rather see animals in their natural habitats, I can't really afford an African safari these days. I'm also fascinated with animals that grow up 'in captivity' and how they respond to humans even though they are still 'wild' animals.
But honestly, I'm trying to win the title of Best Older Sibling In The Whole World, and I thought this idea was a home run. What better way to spend a summer afternoon than walking around outside in 90 degree weather? EXACTLY!
So here is our brief documentation of this our latest adventure!

First thing we saw? That's right... A Dinosaur. This one spit water (sorry... I mean 'poisonous phlegm') out of it's mouth and Aydan would not go anywhere near it.
Unfortunately, this picture does not fully convey what the elephant was actually doing, which involved a game attempting to hurl this dead log.
I probably took about 30 pictures of this giraffe (obviously a favorite of mine)!

Spying on people... A kid after my own heart!

Well, aside from the dripping sweat and smelly children, the experience was really worth the $25! It was a little strange being conceived by everyone around me as a mommy (Aydan is practically a spitting image of me age 6), but I suppose if I had to choose someone else's child to be my own, I could do no better! I challenge everyone out there to plan a trip to the Zoo (with children or otherwise, though it's much more enjoyable without strollers)... Either way I promise it will be an adventure!
